The art of finding your obsession
The E3 method

Hey everyone, we will discuss finding our obsessions in this special edition of Well-off Wednesdays.
Sometimes we feel stuck and unsure about what we want to do with our lives. We want to feel like we have a purpose and are doing something meaningful.
Many of us get caught up in boring routines and need to figure out what we love to do or what we should focus on in the future.
Not finding our obsession can have a significant impact on us.
We might feel empty and like we're just going through the motions of life instead of really living it.
If we have something we're passionate about, reaching our full potential and having a satisfying life can be more accessible.
Gladly, there's a system which can help us in this pursuit.
It’s called the E3 Method:
It's a way to help you find your obsession and live a life filled with excitement and purpose.
Step 1: Explore
Life is like a big experiment; you must try different activities to find what you love.
Break out of your usual routine and explore new things.
Try meditating,
exercising,
eating healthy,
writing in a journal,
waking up early,
taking cold showers, and
Reading self-help books.
Approach your life from a scientific perspective:
Observe your experiences
Develop a hypothesis
Perform an experiment
Analyse the results and conclusions.
You'll discover what excites you and makes you happy by trying new things.
Step 2: Examination
Thinking about your experiences helps you gain wisdom. Now let's analyse some things to learn more about yourself:
The zone-out analysis:
When you're not actively thinking about anything, pay attention to the thoughts that keep returning to your mind.
What ideas keep popping up during moments of relaxation or when you're lost in your thoughts?
The history analysis:
Look at your Google and YouTube history, saved tweets, bookmarked posts, and old journal notebooks.
These records can reveal what you're interested in.
The dream job analysis:
Imagine a situation where money is not a problem. Think about what you would do with your free time and weekends.
What activities do you enjoy exploring and tinkering with?
The bathroom break analysis:
Think about moments when you get so caught up in an activity that you forget about time and even forget to go to the bathroom.
What things do you enjoy so much that you lose track of time?
The fun vs work analysis:
Think about activities that feel like play to you but may seem like work to others. What tasks do you find yourself getting absorbed in?
Where do you think your natural talents lie?
Remember, this is all about discovering your interests and talents, so have fun exploring!
Step 3: Effort
Having an obsession is excellent, but it's essential to put in the effort to make it a success.
Think about people like
Elon Musk - Obsessed with pushing the boundaries of technology and space exploration.
Oprah Winfrey - Obsessed with using media as a platform to inspire, empower, and create positive change.
Serena Williams - Obsessed with tennis and achieving excellence in her sport.
They all worked hard towards what they were passionate about.
When you focus on something you love, you'll progress faster and have a better chance of succeeding.
Step 4: Repeat
If you ever feel stuck again, go back to this process.
It's something you can do over and over again to keep finding new passions and improving your life.
By following the E3 Method, you can discover your passion, start an exciting journey, and see your efforts pay off over time.
Remember, life is too precious to be spent without something you're passionate about. Take the first step to find yours and open up a world of possibilities!
